HALLIGAN RANCH LLAMA ADVENTURES
Home * Day Hikes * Drop Camps * Guided Trips * Meet the Boys
Sherry’s family has been in the llama business since the mid-eighties breeding, showing and selling llamas all over the United States. She soon became obsessed with getting herself and the llamas out on the trails of the Cascade Mountains. In 2004, she had the opportunity to buy the only permitted and licensed llama outfitting business allowed to work in the wilderness areas of the Willamette and Deschutes National Forests. Now her summers are filled with leading trips on the scenic wilderness trails of the Three Sisters and Mt. Jefferson. How great is that!
Her job is at home on the ranch attending to the details that need to be taken care of so the packing business can keep growing and become a viable recreation opportunity for nature enthusiasts. In 2004, she had the opportunity to buy the only permitted and licensed llama outfitting business allowed to work in the wilderness areas of the Willamette and Deschutes National Forests. Since then she has worked on our marketing and advertising goals and projects. She is the webmaster for HRLA’s website as well as the Halligan Ranch/Juniper Lane Llamas site.
Marilyn has worked with HRLA since it began. Her knowledge of the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness is extensive, as well as her Outback-oven cooking prowess. Love her desserts! Along with her husband, Jess, she owns a string of pack llamas and has been hiking in the mountains for over twelve years. A goal of hers is to take her llamas on every hike mentioned in John Sullivan’s book, “100 Hikes in the Central Oregon Cascades”
Jess has worked with HRLA since it began. His knowledge of the best fishing holes in the Three Sisters and Mt. Jefferson Wilderness areas is extensive, as well as being our resident GPS guru! Along with his wife, Marilyn, he owns a string of pack llamas and has been hiking in the mountains for over twelve years.
